Cemetery Program

In February of 2001, under the leadership of the Adjutant General, Major General John E. Blair, a Charter was drafted and the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery Association, Inc. (NHVCA) was established as a Charitable 501 (c) (3) Organization.

The New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery Association is a Non-Profit Organization that is organized for the sole purpose of containing tangible and intangible charitable donations received from all sources and which is intended to support the NH State Veterans Cemetery.  We are committed to community outreach and expanding public knowledge, and we work in collaboration with the Department of Military & Veterans Service and the Cemetery Director to consider requests to purchase items like monuments, memorials, decorations, furniture, vehicles, equipment, landscaping materials, and other needed items that cannot be provided by the State.

For a quarter-century, the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery Association (NHVCA) has safeguarded the dignity of the State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen—a sacred place of remembrance for all who served. Thanks to the generosity of individuals, families, and businesses, we’ve transformed this hallowed ground into a place of history, reflection, and tribute.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Since our founding in September 2000, donations to the NHVCA on behalf of the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery have made possible:

  • 20 Points of NH Military History Walkway – remembering courage and sacrifice

  • Veterans Heritage Learning Center – constructed and equipped to honor through education

  • Design & installation of exhibits – preserving the stories of New Hampshire’s veterans

  • Memorial Brick Walkway – providing lasting tributes from families

  • Commissioned stained glass windows – enhancing the beauty and meaning of the Chapel

  • Land preservation & monument restoration – protecting legacy for generations

  • Grave locator kiosk – guiding loved ones to their hero

  • Essential equipment & landscaping – including the purchase of a 1-ton utility dump truck

  • Enhanced visitor amenities – creating a welcoming and peaceful place for reflection

  • Public fundraising campaigns – including recognition as a recipient of the annual State Employees Charitable Campaign and other employee giving programs

These aren’t just projects—they are lasting tributes, made possible by your generosity.
